“LOBSTERS ARE LIPSTICK OF THE SEA” is a piece inspired by what we put on our plates, where it comes from, and the beauty we object ourselves to in that process. When we eat do we consider where the food comes from? Do we fuel our bodies obsessed with the beauty of a hamburger without considering a cow’s final cries in life?
The lobsters are outlined with high-fashion magazine cut-outs and made to look “posed” in all of their edible glory! The lady applying lipstick has a studied look as she poses for the viewer while applying her lipstick against a graffiti-esque backdrop.
